FOLSOM STREET FAIR
Folsom Street Fair has been a San Francisco tradition for ten years, celebrating historically the largely gay leather scene. In recent times it is a street party numbered in the hundreds of thousands of revelers with a less-is-more dress code and certainly leather and chrome steel play a big part of fashion. The bear crowd is increasingly well represented in this event, which this September was wonderfully sunny and warm. And for me, a good portion of the event takes place around the corner at The Lone Star Saloon, and surpringly, in the rare line to get in! Here is my take on the day.
